The 3D model of the bike is divided into zones: seat, handlebars, left/right pedals, main and additional frame sections, allowing for harmonious color combinations. Interactive selection points allow you to navigate to the desired zone with a single click. Hotspots allow you to select and edit individual elements without having to search through the menu.
• Uploading your own images. Users can upload a print or texture from their device; the uploaded image is automatically overlaid on the selected area of the model and saved to the palette.
• Interactive 3D viewing. The 3D bicycle model can be freely rotated, scaled, and viewed from any angle—all changes are immediately reflected in the scene, allowing you to instantly evaluate the final appearance.
• Realistic visualization and depth perception. The detailed treatment of materials, lighting, and shadows allows for a high degree of realism without sacrificing performance. This helps accurately assess the combination of colors and textures.
• Interface Adaptability and Branding. Our app easily integrates into your website design, can be styled according to your desired visual style, and can be fully customized—from the header heading to the color palette. This approach simplifies the builder's integration into an online store, management system, or brand landing page.
• Performance optimization. Scene rendering and texture processing are performed in the browser, ensuring smooth interface performance even with detailed prints and on most modern devices and browsers. Custom images are overlaid onto the model directly on the client side, reducing server load and speeding up configurator response times.

Technical implementation and tools

The 3D bike configurator is a web application that runs on any device, stores user settings, and launches from a smartphone screen like a regular app.

3D Bike Configurator is the result of a coordinated team of specialists and the use of modern web technologies. The project began with the idea and design, with UX/UI designers developing user interaction scenarios and creating interface prototypes, ensuring a user-friendly and intuitive control panel.

In the next step, 3D programmers used Three.js to create a 3D model of the bicycle, preparing materials, lighting, and shaders for realistic visualization of details and textures. Every element of the design, from the handlebars to the pedals, is easily selected and quickly customized. Front-end developers integrated the models into the web interface, ensuring smooth operation of the control panel, instantaneous display of changes, and interaction with interactive points. Processing of selected settings and loaded textures occurs directly in the browser, ensuring the app runs quickly and reliably on any device.
