3D car configurator
3D configurators completely change the idea of product presentation in the field of eCommerce . With their help, your customers will be able not only to view three-dimensional models of goods from any angle, but also to personalize them to their taste, changing any characteristics: color, shape, size, and something else.
To demonstrate all the possibilities of this tool , AVADA MEDIA specialists have developed a 3D car configurator.
The interface of the configurator is similar to a computer game - the user has a car model that can be rotated and upgraded to his liking. As points of personalization, we chose two main elements: body color and wheel style. All changes are made in one click and are instantly reflected on the model.
To evaluate changes in different conditions, we gave the user the ability to open and close the car doors, switch the exterior lighting from day to night, and turn the headlights on/off.
Also, the configurator allows you to view the interior of the car by moving to the driver's seat - after clicking on the corresponding menu item, the camera smoothly moves inside the 3D model, and the user can view it in 360 ° format.
Only two tools were used to develop the project:
- Three.js is a JavaScript library for working with 3D graphics in the browser.
- Vue.js is a framework for developing user interfaces.
