@Speakhunt_bot is a Telegram bot for improving the level of English and overcoming the language barrier.
The customer's idea was to create a convenient and accessible tool that would allow users to communicate seamlessly with native speakers around the world and at any time.
Goals and tasks that faced our team
- Create a Telegram bot that will help users find English-speaking interlocutors and communicate with them directly.
- Implement the possibility of communication with speakers in the format of real-time calls.
- Develop an admin panel for managing tariff plans and content.
- Create a landing page for solving marketing tasks and attracting new users.
Technologies
How we organized work on the project
To develop the project, we formed a team, divided the tasks into short sprints and started the implementation of the set goals. The technical implementation consisted of five main stages:
1. Collection of information
We studied the client's business idea and vision, conducted a market analysis, and based on the received data, formed the optimal product concept.
2. Projecting
We carefully worked out the warframes of the interfaces and thought out the user paths, defined the functionality of the product and the main features, and then assembled everything into a single interactive prototype. This helped to see the overall picture of the project and create a reliable basis for its further development.
3. Design development
Individual site design and UI elements of the Speakhunt bot were displayed.
4. Technical development
In order for the functionality of the project to meet the customer's requirements, we built the implementation on Telegram Web Apps. This is a special messenger tool that allows you to connect a bot to an external web application. The backend part was written on the Django Python framework, and the frontend admin panel was written on Vuexy.
5. Testing
Conducted testing to ensure project stability and prepared site and bot for release.
How the Speakhunt bot works
Most of Speakhunt's features are available to users for free, immediately after launching the bot, but if necessary, they can be expanded with a paid subscription.
Main functions:
- Searching for native speakers and communicating with them in real time.
- Adding speakers to "Favorites" for the ability to call and communicate with your favorite interlocutors without restrictions.
- Profile customization: adding a photo, information about yourself and choosing the main language of the bot.
- Check knowledge using internal tests.
- Access to the catalog of educational games.
For comfortable administration and management of the bot, we have also created an admin panel in which you can:
- Maintain a database of users and speakers.
- Monitor transactions.
- Manage the game catalog.
- Track the results of tests passed by users.
Result
Our team developed the Telegram bot Speak Hunt , designed for online learning of foreign languages.
The main attention was paid to the performance of the system and the quality of the communication, so that the communication of users with the speakers took place as smoothly and without failures as possible.
At the moment, only English can be studied in Speak Hunt, but the customer plans to expand the list of available languages in the near future.
